A most beautiful thing:

Today we saw a most beautiful thing.
It made both my heart and my soul sing.
A pod of dolphins came so very close!
It was an unforgettable experience – I do need to boast.
What a sight!
They truly are so very graceful,
and so light.
So beautiful and so free,
swimming and playing next to us! In the sea.

I couldn’t speak.
I could hardly stand.
I had only to wait ………..
these creatures showed us why they are just so great.

How lucky we are.
We don’t need to go far,
to see such wonders! – it’s true!
They’re ALL here, on our planet
that’s (predominantly) blue.

So I must leave you now
and take a bow,
whilst dedication this ditty
(though it’s not so witty – but it is fun to do).
