Gran Canaria, Las Palmas and a Broken Auto – Pilot

We arrived in the marina of Gran Canaria yesterday morning after a very tiring journey.Our auto-pilot decided to pack up on us shortly after leaving the marina of Puerto Calero and despite Erwin’s best efforts at fixing the problem it broke down on us completely and so for most of our seventeen hour journey we found ourselves self-steering. ………. We Are Finished, My Chart Table and the Girls’ Engine Cover..

Well, we have FINISHED!!!!!! Oh my goodness. Finally. We even did a shop today; so the boat is also laden with food. The anti-fouling ( barr where the posts are, OK, we have to do this tomorrow morning and the second layer on Friday morning, but this is now easy to do) is done. We are practically ready to get back into the water! ………….
